Abstract

The Marylka Project documentary is a feature-length film charting the history of refugee migration via Japan and Shanghai to Australia during the Second World War.
The animated section I have authored comprises several minutes of screen time, and encapsulates early memories of arrival in Australia for one of the refugees featured in the film. I have also contributed to the film as an interviewer, location scout / site coordinator, translator, and in handling Australian location logistics and bilingual website maintenance.
