Abstract
Actually there are more than a few. There are many dangerous ideas in Christianity. We live in times when a claim to the sacred has routinely justified acts of hideous violence. It is not enough for any religion to claim to be ‘peaceful’ without a close examination of what it teaches and asking if particular beliefs might encourage a follower to violence. Personally, I have a traditional Christian faith, so it is the only faith I can speak about ‘from the inside’.
