Abstract
The article focuses on improving the physical health of people living with mental illness in Australia. Topics discussed include the impact of psychotropic medication, stigma, discrimination, experiences of trauma and poor access to healthcare, the national Equally Well initiative, and the role of nurses in working with people living with mental illness.
