Abstract
The theologian as a Biblical interpreter brings to the text the perspectives of the issues of the day so that the text speaks anew to these issues. The prominence and importance of climate change brings new light to the Bible and open open up new ways of understanding God, the world, and human life in the midst of life and the threat of death. The Theologian seeks to find a way to understand our situation so that a way may be found and followed to choose life for the world and to avert the threat of death.
