A new organization method for massive raster data and vector data

Abstract

In geographic information system (GIS), raster data and vector data are the based data types. The classical way to deal with both of them is to translate raster data to vector data or in the inverse direction. In this paper, we proposed a sample idea that blocking organizes raster data and vector data according to the geographic location. In this way, we can hold all the benefits of raster data and vector data.
