ConferenceFrom Caliphate to Caliphate: Australian Connections - A Research Forum
Otherhe collapse of the Ottoman Empire was marked by a decision of the new Turkish state to end its role as the seat of the centuries-old Caliphate. For the last century it has been broadly assumed in the West that the Caliphate is only a historical relic.
