Abstract
The recommendation of placing an accommodation bond on access to Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACF) places a particular strain on the rural elderly as they typically have homes and assets that are of lesser financial value than their city counterparts and generally less accessible income (Productivity Commission, 2011).
