Abstract

The ability to efficiently transmit and rapidly process vast amounts of data has become almost indispensable to our daily lives. The techniques of computational statistics provide an interface between data and its meaningful inferences. Moreover, computational statistics is the primary foundation of machine learning and deep learning algorithms and hence offers an up-and-coming solution to deal with transforming data into knowledge. So, it becomes necessary to study the different computational and statistical techniques and their applications for artificial intelligence. This chapter briefly reviews recent research in computational statistics and its application to artificial intelligence.
