Abstract

The piece performed was that of the role of the 'missionary's wife' in the Andrew Bovell play 'Holy Day'. The production was overseen by local company, the Bathurst Theatre Company, and directed by local director Suzanne McKay. It was performed at the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre over a 3-night run to 200+ houses. The play's themes explore Australian loss, infanticide, distance, difference, injustice and racism.
