Application of Monte Carlo Simulation in the whole-range assessment of allelopathy

Abstract

Allelopathic effects are allelochemical dose dependent. Whole-range assessment is a method for analyzing allelopathic dose-response data, which relies on calculating an inhibition index over a range of allelochemical doses to evaluate allelopathic effects. Based on the non-linear characteristics of dose responses, this study, by employing Monte Carlo Simulation, provided a better scientific computing method for inhibition index. Examples from the literature were used to demonstrate the effectiveness of the method.
