My conference paper presentation Apprenticed to ghosts: accountable for images incomplete was presented to the Association for the Study of Australian Literature (ASAL) at Charles Sturt University, in July 2 -€Â' 5, 2013. This research paper concerned my creative practice as research process to locate my research methodology within the wider field of contemporary arts practice through drawing and embroidery as part of my CSU-PhD creative practice as research candidature. The works, as contemporary hybrid drawing/embroidery contingent practices, challenge traditional visual narrative models investigating themes of damage and doubt in relation to recent academic debates surrounding dominant Australian early Colonial histories.
