Abstract

Invited presentation at the annual conference of tribunal members at the Civil and Administrative Tribunal NSW. Three typical cases from the occupational discipline, consumer and guardianship divisions were analysed for the memory issues and links were made to relevant psychological literature on memory. Examples of guides summarising scientific findings on memory inconsistent with counter-intuitive and common-sense myths about human memory were also presented to the audience.
