Abstract

This article examines the Apologia of Newman's Tract 90 written by Augustus Short, the first Bishop of Adelaide, Australia, but never published. Aspects of the Apologia are accessed from modern sources. Short affirms Newman's position. Comments are also made about the development of the catholic tradition of Anglicanism in the Diocese of Adelaide.
