N2 - Dear Editor, We appreciate this very positive well-formulated and explained criticism, and acknowledge that the findings of the measurements made were suboptimal for such thin cartilage, likely why this work has not been attempted or submitted for publication previously. However, the fetlock joint is the joint that suffers most from osteo arthrosis1–5 and thus applying new MRI techniques to this joint is necessary in an attempt to make imaging advances clinically relevant to equines.
