Abstract

Cristina Lledo Gomez outlines a synodal-inspired approach to construct a theology of the spirits, engaging with both Indigenous anitist and Christian Filipin@ spiritualities for the purpose of holistic care and healing of mind, body and spirit within a transpersonal worldview. As Lledo Gomez argues, embracing multiple practices in a syncretic way (while acknowledging and negotiating with asymmetric colonialist histories) may help restore right relations among persons, communities, land, and cosmos, with sacramental and soteriological implications for an Ignatian practice of discernment of spirits in co-creating the kin-dom of God.
