In addition to prologue and epilogue, the book consists of fifteen chapters, which are presented under three sections. In the first section, four chapters (1 to 4) delve into the culture of development. The second section is titled as “the mind of darkness” that has very interesting and thought provoking four chapters (5 to 8). The final section focuses on transformative social policy consisting of seven chapters (9 to 15). According to the author, “The main purpose of the book is to emphasise the need for enlightened, international collaboration to unravel some of the most vital issues that face humankind”. The book has clearly achieved that purpose.
