Abstract

The In Vino Analytica Scientia (IVAS) conference series is widely recognised as one of the most prestigious international conferences dealing with wine research, attracting researchers worldwide to present their latest work and results. IVAS is a conference focussed on analytical chemistry for wine, brandy and spirits, which perfectly matched the topic of my PhD project. In 2019, it was held in conjunction with Oeno 2019 and therefore was a larger forum than usual. Attending this conference gave me a chance to gain up-to-date knowledge on chemical analysis, chemical reaction mechanisms, and the sensory evaluation techniques relevant to my project.
