Abstract

The main objectives of this paper are to discuss (a) the current global trends in child labour, both in terms of the concept and extent of the problem; (b) strategies to deal with the child labour issue and their limitations; (c) and develop an integrated approach to effectively prevent child labour and to provide necessary support and services to those children to free them from child labour, particularly the worst forms. This chapter also aims to raise awareness of the complex child labour issue so as to mobilise necessary resources and create conditions for children ealise their human potential.
