Abstract
This workshop will explore the use of simple, fun and practical strategies to enhance child protection for early childhood practitioners and young children. The workshop will draw on new research into the use of a Strengths Approach to working with children and families in child protection. While child protection is often considered a complex and sensitive area of practice, the workshop will examine how it can also be one of the most rewarding and significant roles for early childhood professionals. Additionally, Angela will show how using interactive resources and prompts can raise the resilience of young children and are useful for all children in many different settings, especially for those experiencing, or at risk of, abuse. A useful workshop for raising your confidence and extending your skills in child protection.
