Abstract
Thirty-three weeks. These, Pauw reminds us, are the minimum number of
weeks of ‘ordinary time’ which occupy the church’s liturgical year when it
is not preparing for or celebrating Christmas, Easter, and Pentecost. What
follows this appeal is a reworking of the doctrine of the church in light of
the doctrine of creation to propose a ‘wisdom ecclesiology’ (used
interchangeably with ‘ordinary-time ecclesiology’).
