Abstract

As a health practitioner, you may need to communicate about health with an entire community. In this chapter we define what a community is and how you can engage with members of the community to communicate with them about health. We also consider how communities learn and how they can take control of their own health. Advice is given on how to develop effective dialogues with communities.
