Abstract

This paper presents some approaches to community work that are currently in use with a focus on needs assessment, asset based community development and Homan's lens of praxiology as applied to community work. It outlines the presentation given by Dr Wendy Bowles at the Department of Humans Services - Centrelink conference and includes some practical examples and outcomes from the conference session.
