Abstract

This chapter examines and evaluates the possibilities and limitations of the use of contextual Christian theology. It specifically analyses contextual theologies in Indonesia against the backgrounds of Islam and primary indigenous religions. It evaluates these contextual theologies in relation to the Christian Creed of Nicaea and the Definition of Chalcedon.
