This project was a cross-cultural exhibition collaborative partnership between artists Lauren Smith (USA) and Sarah Mc Ewan (CAD Factory) and Dr Julie Montgarrett (CSU). The creative practice as research exchange involved the artists exchanging a description of their proposed work and after brief dialogue, the works were created by the other artist on opposite sides of the world shaped by site-specific locations. Lauren Smith's proposal 'Segmented of Whole' was co-created and installed by Sarah McEwan (CAD factory) and Julie Montgarrett (CSU) at Bird's Hut, Kandos as part of the Cementa,17 Contemporary Arts Festival in April 2017. Lauren Smith and a collective of artists in Brooklyn, USA re-created 'The Daily Diminish' in SoHo, New York City for International Women's Day on March 8, 2017.
