    Abstract

In this chapter we outline key aspects of the multifaceted nature of the research space for exploring living practice. We then explore issues related to creating and sustaining research spaces by drawing on literature and research projects, including our own PhD research experiences and the reflected-upon experiences of colleagues, Sam and Jay (pseudonyms). Although these projects are predominantly interpretive, issues related to critical research are also considered.
