Abstract
This performance was on the topic of the Creative Experience: creativity in cities and territories (Montreal, Barcelona, Strasbourg, Liège, Lille, Vilnius, Vietnam, Australia). The performance was in a Pecha Kucha format with each speaker given 6 minutes to contribute to the creative economies of their cities and territories. This presentation focused on Wagga Wagga and its role in the creative economy of regional Australia including the role of Charles Sturt University as a partner in education and research in Creative Industries. The presentation introduced the concepts of creative industries in non-metropolitan Australia and the challenges and opportunities that arise from a distinctively regional geography and sense of place.
