Cultural competence is seen as being imperative to client care. It is seen to combat racism and enable health services to provide culturally responsive care experiences. Yet responsibility to cultural competence is largely directed to the health education or tertiary institution, making progress in the area challenging. This review aims to reveal evidenced based health approaches to cultural competence over the past three years. This review will provide insight and lessons learnt that will direct future research and leadership in this space.
