Abstract

This chapter presents research that examines the perceptions of a sample of third-year pre-service Health and Physical Education (HPE) teachers enrolled in a Bachelor of Education course at an Australian regional university who undertook a sports outreach international practicum. The study focuses on both the perceived development of cultural competency and its link with students’ motivation to complete their final year of pre-service study.
