Abstract
Daisaku Ikeda's contributions to contemporary Buddhism are well known, but the wider implications of his legacy remain to be explored. In this chapter, the author suggests that his inclusive, correlationist and convergentist approach to dialogue can be continued and extended in the area of innovative education in ways that do not depend upon his own considerable mastery of a rnage of Buddhist and European high cultural texts. In so far as this is teh case, Ikeda may have more to contribute than most of his followers currently suggest.
