Abstract

We are pleased to present the December issue of the Journal of the Australian Library and Information Association (JALIA). In this, the final issue of 2021, we would like to warmly thank all our authors, reviewers, and readers. Without you we would not have a journal and your contributions in your various ways are greatly appreciated. We have also been fortunate this year to have had two sets of guest editors, bringing with them collections of works on two quite different but very topical issues for current times. We are very grateful to Jodie Boyd and Ian McShane for their work on the March issue based on papers developed from those presented at the Symposium titled Libraries and the Community: Representing and Reflecting Cultural Diversity in Library Research, Policy and Practice, which was held at RMIT University, Melbourne on 27–28 February 2020 and also to Liz Walkley Hall, Jane Garner and Simon Wakeling, for their work on the September issue devoted to The Experience of Disaster and Crisis Management in Libraries.
