Abstract
Microbiology is a key first year subject in the Bachelor of Medical Science (Pathology) at Charles Sturt University that has been taught in a 14 week session for many years. This year, for the first time, this subject was delivered in an 8 week micro session. Strategies to better engage students in a blended online/face to face classroom were implemented. Though further analysis is required, we think some micro session teaching innovations can be implemented in traditional subject delivery.
