Abstract

This chapter seeks to inform and resource church leaders in the matter of creating
a safe environment for women, children, and vulnerable people in a context of gender equality. Through development and implementation of clear and simple policies on professional standards that give guidelines for godly behavior—codes of conduct2—the church can model to the surrounding world how all whom God created can be treated equally, remain safe, and be protected.
