Abstract
A published catalogue essay for the exhibition 15 Days by Christopher Orchard. The critical essay on contemporary photographic aesthetics was included in a national publication released in both hard cover and softback editions from the Australian Centre for Portrait Photography, entitled: 15 DAYS, published May 2012, by Australian Centre for Portrait Photography. The exhibition catalogue accompanied an exhibition of photographs addressing the psychology of representations of landscape. My contribution was a major exhibition catalogue essay, as specified within Original Creative Works criteria. It provided an aesthetic and conceptual overview of his photographic practice, as critique and theoretic repositioning of the internationally exhibiting photographer Christopher Orchard's approach to reconstructed photography investigating analogue strategies of photomedia in relation to contemporary digital imaging practices. This catalogue was published as 15 Days: Christopher Orchard in 2012. ISBN 978-0-9873056-0-2.
