Abstract

Digital transformation has radically changed organisations in the last few decades. Digital platforms influence how people work together in digital workplace settings regardless of time and space. The socio-technical interplay of digital internal communication elements contributes to learning and trust-building among people in the organisational system. This conceptual paper illustrates the multidimensional perspective of digital internal communication and aims to extend scholarly work by proposing a strategic approach that focuses on digital platforms. This study suggests a conceptual map of how organisations can meaningfully embed digital platforms into their digital internal communication strategy.
