The 2019 ALISE conference is intended to encourage engagement across the globe from those in library and information science, as well as those in a wide variety of cognate fields who wish to share their vision for education, for teaching and learning, for pedagogy, and for research through an international lens.

The 2019 ALISE conference will be held in Knoxville, Tennessee, a gateway to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The city is known for the research-intensive University of Tennessee and boasts a thriving arts community and downtown district.
