    Abstract

This exhibited work is one of a new series which represents an attempt to illustrate moments in time as interpreted through memory. All memories and experiences change with time. Just as light is refracted through water so too memories become an interpretation of a remembered fact; changed, made better or worse, more joyful or more painful, not the same, different, not a lie: but not the truth. Somewhere in between perhaps, but who is 'right'. You? Me? No-one? All of us? The painting was exhibited at Wagga Wagga City Art Gallery as part of the Conduit: New Works of Art by Staff of the School of Visual and Performing Arts, Charles Sturt University between 30 September and 20 November 2005. It was selected and curated, by the Gallery Director Ms Suzi Muddimann, who also wrote the introductory essay to the exhibition catalogue. The work is oil on canvas; 70cm x 62cm.
