    Abstract

    Fanny Elssler's name became synonymous with the Romantic Age. Elssler was one of the figures responsible for inspiring the renaissance in ballet that occurred in the early nineteenth century. She was known for her remarkably individual style, which she often showcased in her various signature pieces.
