Abstract
Despite being tried and acquitted for the rape of two teenage girls, actor Errol Flynn fortified a lasting reputation as a womanizer and modern-day Romeo. Many argue the expression "in like Flynn," a phrase suggestive of assured sexual success, stems from the sensation of Flynn's rape trial in 1942.
