Abstract
|flow#1-3#fließen| explores the rich visual territory of the aquatic world re-imagined through dance, movement capture, animation and music. Working with Dean Walsh, one of Australia’s leading choreographers and passionate environmentalist, the artists have animated Dean’s movements captured in the motion laboratory at the University of Technology Sydney to present a new work that explores the inter-connectedness and beauty of Sydney’s rich marine environment. For Vivid Sydney at The Galeries, the artists have further considered the intersections of space created by the many levels and screens that fill The Galeries with light and sound creating levels of intimacy and shared experience. The artists wish to thank Sydney Olympic Park Authority and the University of Technology Sydney for their generous support in the making of this film.
