    Abstract

Presentation and layout are important in reports, papers, assignments and theses. It is valuable to learn strategies and functions that help with these tasks, such as the use of inbuilt and optional styles in software programs to streamline word processing. Functions such as styles, automated tables of contents and templates make creating your documents easier, and help achieve greater consistency of layout and format.
