Abstract
'Future Voices: Sustainability Series' is a podcast series co-created with Charles Sturt University staff and students and twenty high school students from the Bathurst region. The project aimed to develop youth-driven sustainability-themed storytelling for broadcast and publication by 2MCE-FM.
Initial scoping work and consultation with Bathurst community youth reference groups informed the timing and design of podcasting workshops condcted at Bathurst high schools. Students completed a full-day planning and recording session on campus at Charles Sturt under the guidance of CSU academics. The recordings were edited into their podcast form by CSU student Remy Naughton.
Thematically, episodes tie into four of the UN Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs), investigating specific examples of sustainability of interest to the participating student cohort. The project was supported by a Sustainability at Charles Sturt project grant.
