Abstract

At the end of a long list of works on pneumatology and Pentecostalism,
Macchia’s most recent work presents a detailed Spirit christology. It follows a conviction forged early on in Macchia’s career, namely, that ‘Spirit
baptism [is] the root metaphor in the New Testament for the entire Christian witness to Jesus Christ’ (p. ix).
