Abstract

Hill et al discusses intestinal development and growth which was the topic presented at the Joint Annual Meeting
of the American Society of Animal Science, the American Dairy Science Association, the Poultry Science
Association, the Asociacion Mexicana de Produccion Animal, and the Canadian Society of Animal Science on Jul
12, 2010 in Denver CO. The symposium provided an overview of the factors affecting intestinal development and
how some of these factors affect growth, health, and welfare of animals. Importantly, the forum also facilitate
discussion of means to improve critically important processes to maximize animal production efficiency and
health
