    Abstract

This paper describes three ongoing leisure projects in New South Wales, Australia, which aim to support the health and well-being of older adults. The three projects are: the Holbrook 'Active and Able' project; the Deniliquin Healthy Lifestyle Holiday programme; and the activity game called Lifeball. These projects seek to promote healthy living for older adults by encouraging them to participate voluntarily in active leisure programmes, therefore giving them greater opportunity to participate in their own health care.
