Ideas: Academic resilience and achievement

Manohar Pawar (Presenter)

Research output: Other contribution to conferencePresentation only

Abstract

: In his presentation, Prof. Pawar shares his lived experiences of grant submissions and academic publications. Reflecting on those experiences, he argues the inextricable integration between learning-teaching and research, and that integration as a fertile ground for growing ideas. Three critical factors influence the process of consistently creating and pursuing those ideas. Despite the influence of human, organisational and opportunity factors, without inflating and deflating, cultivating academic resilience is needed to consistently think, write and publish from a long-term perspective. Towards that end, he will share some of the methods/approaches he has followed for others to consider and develop their own devices to achieve a fulfilling academic life/career.
