Abstract

This chapter explores intelligence leadership which is a fledgling sub-field of intelligence studies. The chapter has three objectives. First it will describe what intelligence leadership is in its broadest sense as a field of inquiry. Second, it will locate the field in the broader intelligence studies discipline by describing its main intellectual themes and the extent to which these have progressed intelligence leadership research. Thirdly, the chapter will identify what practical ways ICs and researchers can progress a research agenda in this developing yet important field.
