Abstract
A reading/performance of a selection of my poems, both from those written over the last 20 years, and the new ones I was writing as part of the SSP, September and October 2006. Usually this was in the form of 'an evening's entertainment' when I was the sole performer - in public venues, advertised in various media, sometimes there was an admission charge. Occasionally (eg. Missoula, Swansea) I was part of a 'double act'. The performance required me to decide in advance what to read and how to introduce and link the individual pieces. The contents changed to suit the different venues and audiences, like a jazz performance.
