Abstract

The roundtable presented this publication: Short, M., Valentine, B., Morrissey, M., Morrissey, K., & Dixon, E. (2024). The Human Services: Practitioners’ Experiences of the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s & 1990s. Australian Social Work, online, 1-14.

This roundtable shared through a board game how teaching and research can be combined to generate practical teaching epistemologies and historical narratives that meet student learning needs and make innovative industry connections. The roundtable contained engaging and interactive stories about the teaching and learning approach and practitioners’ narratives. Participants gained ideas on teaching strategies. research projects and community engagement which they could embed into their own units.
