OtherWe were honoured to co-convene the 2024 COSA ASM, which was held at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre from Wednesday 13 to Friday 15 November 2024, with pre-conference workshops being held on Tuesday 12 November.

The theme for the 2024 COSA ASM was
Bridging gaps, building progress, breaking down disparities

The disease theme had a strong focus on cancers with poorer outcomes, including sessions on carcinoma of unknown primary, pancreatic cancers, and brain metastases, to name a few.

COSA first introduced an equity theme in 2022—a theme that resonated well with COSA members and delegates. We were eager to incorporate it again as it aligned well with the focus on poorer outcome cancers.

It had been eight years since the COSA ASM was last held on the Gold Coast, so we were excited to bring it back. With a wealth of experience locally and across Australia, we highlighted our domestic expertise throughout the program, while also featuring several international experts.

The COSA ASM program reflected our multidisciplinary society membership. Together with the Program Committee, we developed an exciting and educational program that offered something for everyone.
