Abstract
The purpose of this study is to review the existing literature of the supervision practices and models existing outside and within the LIS discipline, and design a new framework that can potentially guide and inform practicum supervision in the field of LIS. This study is significant due to the importance of practicum supervision in the applied discipline of LIS as empirical studies on practicum supervision, other than a few outlining the responsibilities of the practicum supervisor, are limited in number.
